Long time programmer-hobbyist.  I’ve written C, C++, and Assembly language since the MS-DOS days.  I also have experience with other languages, but have renewed interest in C++ with the revised C++11 standard.

In case anyone’s curious (after all these years), I don’t consider myself and ‘ascended being’.. Ascend4nt is a mixture of As(sembly)C(++)(a)nd-NT.. it sorta made sense in coming up with a name that, since I was now working in an NT-based O/S world, that it could show that I’ve ‘ascended’ from DOS-based systems (80-90’s) to the current Windows NT-based systems. Plus, D4n is my name. 😉
